This site was created by Jason East, a father, husband, and chronic pain patient who — after decades of proper care — was suddenly mislabeled, mistreated, and abandoned by the healthcare system due to shifting national opioid policies and the enforcement practices of UC Davis Health.
Who I Am
My name is Jason East. I’ve endured lifelong medical issues including a congenital heart defect, aortic aneurysm, near full spinal fusion, severe chronic pain, and other serious health conditions.
For years, I was treated with respect — until national opioid policy changed. Overnight, I went from being a cooperative, documented, compliant patient… to being treated like a problem.
I’m not an addict. I’m not a threat. I’m a disabled father of three trying to live without being punished for surviving pain.
Why This Site Exists
This site exists because the pain care system is broken — and it’s breaking people.
When I tried to speak up, I was ignored. When I tried to ask questions, I was labeled. When I provided documentation, it was buried.
But I refused to stay quiet. This site documents what happened to me — not as revenge, but as a warning, a resource, and a rallying point for others.
What You’ll Find Here
- A full, timestamped story of my experience with UC Davis Health
- Documentation including referrals, letters, timelines
- Analysis of institutional failure
- A call to protect pain patients, not punish them
What This Site Is Not
This is not medical advice. This is not political propaganda. This is not just personal venting.
This is truth, documented. And if it happened to me, it’s happening to others.
Why I’m Still Fighting
I built this site so people like me wouldn’t feel alone.
I built it because silence protects systems that harm.
And I built it because I believe stories — told clearly and with proof — can change things.
